Hi Parents, On the 1st of october, which is children's day, the children are going for a trip to the West Coast Park for picnic and some great fun! Please do allow your children to bring along a few pieces of their sandplay toys and some snacks to share with their friends. I will try my very best to take great pictures of the event for you. See ya, Teacher Fiona It was an interesting session with friends and Teacher Fiona today. We were discussing about cars and our imagination...hmm..here was what happened. Teacher Fiona read us a storybook entitled "If I can Build a Car".....it was really an interesting book about a boy call Jack and his plans of building his sophisticated car. After reading the story, Teacher Fiona splitted us into pairs and asked us to discuss among ourselves about our dream cars. Then as we discuss, we have to plan and design our cars on paper before presenting them to the rest of our peers in the class. After that, she would decide which group gets the title for 'CAR OF THE CENTURY'....below are some photos that shows you the process as well as the winners of the title. the book that opens up our discussion... Here are our cars!!!! :happy designers at eagerbeaver: Hi Daddies and Mummies, indeed we have a great time at city harvest church! We enjoyed the powerful singing and action packed songs! And of course, Uncle Keith Coast was such a great children entertainer...he somehow had mastered the skills of getting himself into a big big ballon to blow up other small balloons inside....and believe it or not...he did the chicken dance in the big balloon, walking around the stage...we were all so amazed! It was great fun! They have invited us for their subsequent events....we want to join them in the subsequent fun too! Teacher Fiona says that if you agree to take us there again, she could give you more information on their events every week..could you please ask her? Anyway, here are some of the photos taken on the the outing to City harvest church....enjoy.. waiting for the programs to start.... let's kill time with photo taking! showtime!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoying the songs..... In a relax and fun mood... Uncle Keith, blowing up a really big, big balloon can you see that?! half of his body in the balloon! :happy children's day to all:
It was a great experience! We spent about 15 to 20 minutes, reading different story books, trying to figure out words using the phonic technics that we have learnt and appreciating the stories. Teacher Fiona told us that we are going to do that at least 3 times per week, each session lasting for about 15 minutes. She said that this would improve our attention span, words recognition, creative writing as well as putting our phonics knowledge to use. Here are some great pictures to show you how well behave and engross we were during the silent reading time.
:cutie bookworms at eagerbeaver: One year older=One year wiser....Happy Birthday to David! Finally, you are six years old...we are both happy and sad...happy because you are older and wiser...sad because this is the last year that we are celebrating your birthday in Eagerbeaver Schoolhouse. So we have all decided....to ENJOY and CHERISH each and every moment of our preschool life together.:Happy beavers in eagerbeaver: |
